OBIEE11g Scheduling Mechanism

Report or Dashboard scheduling functionality is available in OBIEE11g. Scheduling mechanism is more or less similar as in OBIEE10g; but the configuration in 11g is slightly different.

In OBIEE10g the table creation script is provided by Oracle and you need to execute it before configuring the IBOT scheduler. Whereas in OBIEE11g all the tables are preconfigured.

During Repository Creation Utility (RCU) in 11g, two schema called Metadata schema (MDS) and BIPLATFORM needs to be created. All the scheduler related tables (e.g. S_NQ_JOB, S_NQ_JOB_PARAM etc.) will automatically create into BIPLATFORM schema.
